HTC Incredible 2 makes its first appearance in Verizon’s internal system

The HTC Incredible 2 has just been spotted in Verizon’s internal system almost a year to the day after its predecessor. Before you get too excited, assuming you are prone to getting excited about the Incredible 2, keep in mind that the original Incredible didn’t launch for a little over two months after it made its first appearance in a similar screenshot.

It’s a safe bet that the Incredible 2 will at least borrow quite a bit from the already announced Incredible S, but whether it is in fact a carbon copy remains to be seen. One trait it hopefully doesn’t pick up from its overseas cousin is Android 2.2.

Here’s a quick refresher on the basic Incredible S specs:

  • 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 Processor
  • 768 MB Ram
  • 4″ Super LCD
  • 800 x 480
  • 8 MP rear camera with dual-LED flash (720p video capable)
  • 1.3 MP front facing camera
  • 1,450 mAh battery
  • Rotating capacitive buttons

That 4″ screen size seems to be the sweet spot for a lot of users, but is that going to be enough to sway people in the face of the 4G and dual-core options arriving soon on Verizon?

I never understood why these manufacturers insist on putting “4g” in the phone’s name. “Evo 2 4G”. What a mouthful…jeez, we already know it does “4G”. >_>

Evo gets alot of spike but the mytouch 4g is a silent killer. Im with u on this one revs1227, the mt4g reaches speeds that the evo has never even dreamed of. Even the predecessor of the daddy of androids, the G2, has alot more to give than the evo. So what if it has a front facing camera, evo, ur on the wrong network. Yes sprint brought 4g to the market first, but he who gets the last laugh, as u all know.

Well, from what I have read, the 4G LTE on Verizon is supposed to be fairly expensive. With no unlimited 4G data plans. Hopefully, this is not the case.

I love my Droid Incredible, shame the DroidInc 2 wont have a touch optical device like the OG DroidInc.

I openly wish the Droid Incredible 2 the best.. Nice little bump in specs wish it was 4g… Looks like VERIZON is SEPERATING there 3g device from there 4g devices… IE… Droid Bionic and Htc Thunderbolt 4g devices vs Droid Incredible 2 and Droid X2 3g devices… Don’t know why they would want to do that??? Now the wait is for the HTC EVO 2 4G which should be announced at ctia march 22 as well as the Htc Pyramid for tmobile… Guess soon enough we will see… EVO RULES ANDROID
